Gyroplanes, Autogyros, Gyrocopters or just plain Gyros - call them what you will, they are all the same fantastic flying machines!

Whether you are looking for a trial flight so that you can find out more about these amazing aircraft and experience the famous "Gyro Grin", or you want to learn how to fly one of these machines for yourself, Gyro Training is the place for you.

We are based at Wickenby Airfield near Lincoln, and offer Trial Flights, Flight Training for the PPL(G) and advanced training.

If you decide to take the plunge and buy your own aircraft we have hangarage and maintenance available on-site, as well as a Cafe / Bar, clubhouse and and one of the friendliest welcomes to be found at any airfield in the country.

At The Gyrocopter Experience Lincoln you can complete your entire PPL(G) training course without owning your own gyro - by using ours!  That may sound obvious, but not all gyroplane schools allow you to go solo on their aircraft.

Using our gyro to complete your course means that you can go solo when you are ready, without having to wait until you have bought your own machine.  It also means that you can take your time choosing the right aircraft for you!

See the "what does it cost" page for more details of our solo flight scheme.

Everyone is different and each of us learns in a different way - which is why we take care to find out about you and tailor your training course to your own needs and learning style.   Every lesson starts with a pre-flight briefing which covers everything from radio calls and airmanship to the manouevers we will be undertaking and their aerodynamic effects on the aircraft.  At the end there's a debrief where we talk about what went well and what needs more work.

At the Gyrocopter Experience Lincoln you won't find "10 hour packages" or "5-day intensive courses" - there's no one-size-fits-all way of learning how to fly and we put togther a programme to suit you - whether that's an intensive course or an hour a week.

We are a member of the The Gyrocopter Experience network of flying schools.   Students' flight records are now available online through the GyrocopterExperience.com website, you can join the Gyrocopter Community  and buy flight vouchers valid at all Gyrocopter Experience outlets.
