There are lots of fantastic aviation resources available on the internet, these are just a few of our favourites:

Gyroplane Manufacturers

RotorSport UK are the UK dealers for the fantastic MT-03 gyroplane - the ONLY factory built 2-seat gyroplane approved for flight in the UK.

Clubs and Societies:

The British Rotorcraft Association is the representative body for gyroplane flying in the UK.  Membership is just £25 per year, and as well as helping to support the gyroplane movement you'll receive the excellent Gyroflight magazine.

The Popular Flying Association is responsible for the ongoing airworthiness of our gyroplanes.  You must be a member if you own a gyro with a PFA Permit to Fly.  As well as engineering support you will also receive the monthly "Popular Flying" magazine.

Weather and Flight Planning:

Weather and aeronautical information are a must before each flight.  There are a number of sources:

The Met Office Aviation site offers comprehensive pre-flight briefing information.  The service is free, but you do need to register.

The Aeronuatical Information Service (AIS) website provides access to NOTAMs, AICs and the UK AIP.  Confused?  You will be, because the site is notoriously user-unfriendly!  Another free service which requires registration.

UKGA.com provides an easy interface to both weather and flight planning information plus a load of other stuff.  Guess what?  ... it's free but you have to register.

YAWS (yet another weather service) provides a mobile phone / PDA -friendly weather service, so you can get weather while you are out and about.  Fantastic!

Medical information:

Medical requirements for Gyroplane pilots can be found on the CAA website.  There are forms for you to download and take to your GP, plus advice sheets for you and your doctor.

CAA :

The CAA website.

Full details of the requirements for a UK PPL(Gyroplanes) can be found in LASORS Section C.
